Abstract: This study explores the impact of psychosocial health determinants and stress on the educational process among two student groups: police academy students in Sweden and medical students at the University of Padua. Using a qualitative design, semi-structured interviews will be conducted with at least 20 participants, aged 22 and above, until data saturation is reached. The interviews, carried out online, will examine how mental health, physical and psychological pressures, lifestyle, classroom climate, and professor–student interactions affect academic performance, resilience, and coping strategies. The collected data will be analyzed thematically to identify key stressors, common patterns, and differences between the two educational contexts. By comparing these distinct groups, the research aims to provide insights into how demanding training environments influence learning and well-being, and to suggest potential strategies to foster resilience and improve the quality of academic experiences.
