The thesis aims to analize innovative liquid based structures stabilized by a particle component. Initially, the structural characteristics and the properties derived from them are analyzed. Subsequently, the main biomedical applications are presented, in particular their use as microreactors for cell culture and devices for farmacological testing. Their potential future use as drug-delivery systems is also explored.
La tesi si pone il compito di analizzare strutture innovative a base liquida stabilizzate da una componente particellare. Se ne analizzano in primo luogo le caratteristiche strutturali e le proprietà che queste conferiscono al dispositivo in esame. Successivamente, vengono presentate le possibili applicazioni in ambito biomedico, in particolare come microreattori per colture cellulari e strumenti di analisi farmacologica. Vengono inoltre esplorate le potenzialità che questa tecnologia potrebbe avere in futuro nel campo del drug-delivery.
