This thesis describes the internship activity carried out at Infront Italia S.r.l., focused on the analysis and migration of applications used for the distribution of financial datafeeds in an enterprise environment. The work was part of an infrastructure evolution project aimed at moving selected application components from servers located within the Italian infrastructure to a newer and more updated operating environment. The activity involved the analysis of the servers included in the migration scope, the inventory of running applications, the study of configuration files, and the reconstruction of dependencies between services, processes, IP addresses, and communication ports. Particular attention was given to understanding the application flows used for the reception, processing, and distribution of financial data to final customers. The operational phase concerned the technical preparation of the migration, the progressive migration of the assigned application instances, and the subsequent comparative checks between the original environment and the target environment. The main objective was to ensure service continuity while reducing the risk of anomalies or interruptions in the data distribution chain. This experience made it possible to deepen application, infrastructure, and organizational aspects typical of a high-reliability enterprise IT context.
