This project focuses on setting up a cybersecurity validation environment for an automotive inverter developed in compliance with ISO 21434. The validation was performed using Python scripts based on the CAN library, the PCAN-View message sniffer, and a testing tool called Weseth developed by DriveSec. The main goal was to validate and test secure communication protocols over the CAN bus. All tests were conducted in the laboratory on a dedicated test bench, not on an actual vehicle. The setup consisted of a single ECU, which was connected either directly via cable or through a virtual machine.
