This work originates from the desire to let users experience firsthand the brachistochrone problem, namely the search for the curve along which a body descends in the shortest possible time under the sole influence of gravity. The project provides a testing environment where users are encouraged to find the best track by simply relying on their own intuition. The developed software, BDraw, converts this theoretical concept into an empirical test in an almost playful way. In practice, the interface features a workspace where users can sketch custom paths and study the descent of a body along the defined route, instantly measuring its performance. Travel times are returned simultaneously: on one hand, through a visual animation based on the laws of physics, and on the other, by leveraging precise theoretical computation calculated on the drawn geometry. Structured this way, the project translates the complexity of infinitesimal calculus into an accessible tool for visual investigation.

Abstract
Structured this way, the project translates the complexity of infinitesimal calculus into an accessible tool for visual investigation.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
