This thesis deals with the issue of the work inclusion of people with disabilities, analyzing the Italian context and the role of Disability Management in building inclusive work contexts. The paper develops starting from the definitions of the various terms and observing the legislation on labour law regarding disability in Italy. Especially, the laws mentioned are: Law no. 68/1999 on targeted placement and Law no. 104/1992 on the protection of the rights of people with disabilities. The research aims to analyze Disability Management, an organizational strategy aimed at promoting equal opportunities, accessibility, and participation in the labour market. The study discusses the main barriers that hinder access to the workplace and the permanence, the needs of people with disabilities, and the theoretical approach “Diversity, Equity & Inclusion”, of Disability Management is the practical implementation. The analysis reveals, through official statistical data, how the italian labour market is still characterized by critical issues and stereotypes; indeed, this highlights the importance of inclusive policies aimed at promoting the full participation of people with disabilities in working and social life.
La presente tesi affronta il tema dell’inclusione lavorativa delle persone con disabilità, analizzando il contesto italiano e il ruolo del Disability Management nella costruzione di contesti lavorativi inclusivi. L’elaborato si sviluppa partendo dalle definizioni dei vari termini e osservando la normativa sul diritto del lavoro in materia di disabilità in Italia. In particolare, vengono esaminate: la Legge n. 68/1999 sul collocamento mirato e la Legge n. 104/1992 sulla tutela dei diritti delle persone con disabilità. La ricerca si pone come obiettivo l’analisi del Disability Management, una strategia organizzativa volta a favorire pari opportunità, accessibilità e partecipazione nel mercato del lavoro. Lo studio approfondisce inoltre le principali barriere che ostacolano l’accesso e la permanenza nel mondo del lavoro, i bisogni delle persone con disabilità e l’approccio teorico “Diversity, Equity & Inclusion”, di cui il Disability Management è l’attuazione pratica. L’analisi emersa attraverso dati statistici ufficiali, evidenzia come il mercato del lavoro italiano sia ancora caratterizzato da criticità e stereotipi; infatti, questo sottolinea l’importanza di politiche inclusive volte a promuovere la piena partecipazione delle persone con disabilità alla vita lavorativa e sociale.
