The script presents an internship project carried out in collaboration with Varisco S.r.l., part of the Atlas Copco group, and analyzes production times in the assembly process with the aim of quantifying the time lost due to nonconformities and providing decision-making support based on production data. The analysis was conducted using data extracted from the company’s MES and ERP information systems, which were previously cleaned and corrected to reduce inconsistencies, noise, and incomplete records. The products were then grouped into categories according to their technical characteristics and batch size, in order to more accurately describe the behavior of the standard process. For each category, processing times, phase times, and idle times were estimated using statistical analyses and data transformations designed to make the distributions suitable for analysis. Finally, the effect of nonconformities on production times was studied through a regression model, with the aim of highlighting the impact of rework and scrap on overall productivity. The results identify the main causes of time loss and provide a useful basis for future improvement activities in a Lean Six Sigma perspective.
L'elaborato espone un progetto di tirocinio svolto in collaborazione con Varisco S.r.l., parte del gruppo Atlas Copco, e analizza i tempi di produzione del processo di montaggio con l’obiettivo di quantificare il tempo perso a causa delle non conformità e di fornire un supporto decisionale basato su dati di produzione. L’analisi è stata condotta partendo dai dati estratti dai sistemi informativi aziendali MES ed ERP, che sono stati precedentemente puliti e corretti per ridurre incoerenze, rumore e registrazioni incomplete. Successivamente, i prodotti sono stati suddivisi in categorie in funzione delle loro caratteristiche tecniche e della dimensione del lotto, così da descrivere in modo più accurato il comportamento del processo standard. Per ciascuna categoria sono stati stimati i tempi di lavorazione, i tempi di fase e i tempi morti, utilizzando analisi statistiche e trasformazioni dei dati finalizzate a rendere le distribuzioni analizzabili. Infine, l’effetto delle non conformità sui tempi di produzione è stato studiato mediante un modello di regressione, con l’obiettivo di evidenziare l’impatto delle rilavorazioni e degli scarti sulla produttività complessiva. I risultati ottenuti consentono di individuare le principali cause di perdita di tempo e costituiscono una base utile per future attività di miglioramento in ottica Lean Six Sigma.
