The phenomenon of parasitism is well known in nature; indeed, it involves a multitude of taxonomic groups and it can operate in different ways depending on the species. Researchers specialized in this field of study, Parasitology, and more recently even a lot of ecologists and ethologists, have focused their researches on a peculiar, but also well known, aspect that concerns the parasite-host interaction, namely the manipulation of the host's behavior operated by the parasite. In the last decades a lot of studies on this phenomenon have been carried out and, thanks to the amount of data accumulated, it was possible to understand the mechanisms that are at the basis of it, as well as it's evolution and the consequences that it has on an ecological point of view. The latter is the aspect this Thesis paper will focus on.

Abstract
The latter is the aspect this Thesis paper will focus on.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
