Every year the Erasmus+ programme offers university students the opportunity to partecipate in a study abroad experience. The aim of this dissertation is to investigate the process of learning English as a Second Language (L2) during this experience by analysing how the language is used and the factors that influence its acquisition. In particular, this study examines the development of English proficiency and explores the main theories of Second Language Acquisition (SLA) within the Erasmus context.

Abstract
