In today’s international landscape, shaped by narrative competition and disinformation, the ability to project an authoritative and coherent image has become a strategic asset for geopolitical actors, no less significant than economic or military power. This study analyzes the European Union in its role as an actor in public diplomacy and supranational branding, examining the ways in which the organization seeks to construct a unified narrative. The study explores the tension between the need for a centralized communication strategy and the inherent fragmentation resulting from individual national interests. Through a comparative analysis of case studies from Italy and France, the research investigates how these countries contribute to European public diplomacy and to what extent their national branding aligns with that of the Union. Ultimately, the study identifies public diplomacy strategies capable of fostering a shared and coherent supranational brand within the EU’s multilevel governance framework.

Abstract
Ultimately, the study identifies public diplomacy strategies capable of fostering a shared and coherent supranational brand within the EU’s multilevel governance framework.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
