Il problema del tragico fra Hegel e Kierkegaard: aporie e condizioni di possibilità di un tragico moderno

The present study proposes to inquire the relationship between Hegel’s and Kierkegaard’s conceptions of the tragedy, in particular with reference to the theme of the possibility of a modern tragic. In order to do so, it will first be examinated the hegelian argument about tragic contained in the Aesthetics, showing the aporias which it seems to lead to. It will then be considered how the kierkegaardian essay The Reflection of Ancient Tragic into Modern Tragic, contained in Either-Or, starts precisely from the aporias of the hegelian discourse, trying to solve them. Finally, it will be examinated the way in which this essay of Either-Or performs a rewriting in a modern key of the story of Antigone, considering whether it is coherent with the premises of Kierkegaard’s argument and whether this ultimately succeeds in showing how the ancient tragic is able to reflect in modern tragic.

Il presente elaborato si propone di indagare il rapporto che intercorre tra le concezioni della tragedia di Hegel e di Kierkegaard, in particolare facendo riferimento al tema della possibilità di un tragico moderno. Per fare ciò, si prenderà anzitutto in esame l’argomentazione hegeliana sul tragico contenuta nell’Estetica, mostrando le aporie cui essa sembra condurre. Si considererà, in seguito, come il saggio kierkegaardiano Il riflesso del tragico antico nel tragico moderno, contenuto in Enten-Eller, si inserisca proprio all’altezza delle aporie del discorso hegeliano, tentando di risolverle. Infine, si prenderà in esame il modo in cui questo saggio di Enten-Eller operi una riscrittura in chiave moderna della vicenda di Antigone, valutando se essa sia coerente con le premesse del discorso di Kierkegaard e se questo, in ultima analisi, riesca nel proprio intento di mostrare come il tragico antico possa riflettersi nel tragico moderno.
