The present work deals with the conquest of Peru, exploring history both through Spanish chronicles from an Eurocentric point of view, and by analyzing the perspective of Guaman Poma, a fundamental figure for understanding the cultural hybridization that indigenous populations implemented to ensure their culture remained alive. In this way, it seeks to give well-deserved justice to the Incas, considered for centuries to be backward or primitive solely because they were different from the European standard. Furthermore, the text will analyze the actual root causes that led the Spanish to overcome a population as evolved as the Inca, and how the geographical factor plays a decisive role in the development of any society, no matter how capable it is of adapting.

Abstract
The present work deals with the conquest of Peru, exploring history both through Spanish chronicles from an Eurocentric point of view, and by analyzing the perspective of Guaman Poma, a fundamental figure for understanding the cultural hybridization that indigenous populations implemented to ensure their culture remained alive. In this way, it seeks to give well-deserved justice to the Incas, considered for centuries to be backward or primitive solely because they were different from the European standard. Furthermore, the text will analyze the actual root causes that led the Spanish to overcome a population as evolved as the Inca, and how the geographical factor plays a decisive role in the development of any society, no matter how capable it is of adapting.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
