Le migrazioni interne in Italia: dinamiche di integrazione e percorsi di vita tra Sud e Nord

The central theme of the thesis concerns internal migration in Italy. The analysis starts with the main migratory flows that have affected the country, focusing specifically on movements within national borders. Furthermore, it investigates the causes and changes that have characterized these phenomena, while also examining the social integration processes of those who undertook this journey. Focusing on the South-North migratory axis, the study aims to understand the dynamics that have generated disparities in perspectives and opportunities within the territory. The work concludes with the analysis of a case study centered on migration from Gela (Sicily) to Busto Arsizio (Lombardia), examined through semi-structured interviews with individuals who experienced this journey firsthand.

L’argomento centrale della tesi riguarda le migrazioni interne in Italia. L'analisi prende le mosse dai principali flussi migratori che hanno interessato il Paese, concentrandosi in particolare sugli spostamenti avvenuti entro i confini nazionali. Inoltre, vengono indagate le cause e i mutamenti che hanno caratterizzato tali fenomeni, osservando anche i processi di integrazione sociale di chi ha intrapreso questo percorso. Focalizzandosi sull’asse migratorio Sud-Nord, lo studio mira a comprendere le dinamiche che hanno generato disparità di prospettive e opportunità all'interno del territorio. Il lavoro si conclude con l’analisi di un caso studio incentrato sulle migrazioni da Gela (Sicilia) a Busto Arsizio (Lombardia), esaminate attraverso interviste semi-strutturate rivolte a chi ha vissuto in prima persona tale esperienza.
