The thesis, entitled “Sustainability and Circular Economy in the Italian Economy”, aims to analyze the scenario of Italian small and medium-sized enterprises in terms of sustainability and green policies. The idea came from the experience of the “Tour of Sustainability Factories”, carried out within the internship at ItalyPost, which included several visits to sustainable factories in Northern and Central Italy, such as Manteco, Fomet, and Davines. The thesis therefore seeks to describe not only the production processes of these companies, but above all their everyday challenges, including deep bureaucratic procedures at both national and European level, as well as the difficulties in sustaining demand, acquiring adequate skills, and balancing competitiveness with decarbonization. Another key topic addressed is the circular economy, an innovative paradigm aimed at overcoming the linear “produce-consume-dispose” model by promoting instead the reuse, recycling, and enhancement of resources throughout the entire life cycle of products. Overall, the thesis highlights both the costs and the opportunities associated with sustainability, at a time when it has become a central issue not only from an economic perspective, but also from a social one.

Abstract
Overall, the thesis highlights both the costs and the opportunities associated with sustainability, at a time when it has become a central issue not only from an economic perspective, but also from a social one.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
