This thesis aims to analyze the figure of Loki, one of the most controversial and multifaceted deities within the Norse pantheon. Through the study of primary sources — mainly the Poetic Edda and Snorri Sturluson’s Prose Edda — this work explores Loki’s dual nature, defining him not merely as a simple antagonist, but as a catalyst for change.
Il presente lavoro di tesi si propone di analizzare la figura di Loki, una delle divinità più controverse e sfaccettate del pantheon norreno. Attraverso lo studio delle fonti primarie — principalmente l’Edda poetica e l’Edda in prosa di Snorri Sturluson — l'elaborato esplora la natura duale di Loki, definendolo non come un semplice antagonista, ma come un catalizzatore del cambiamento.
