This work investigates the phenomenon of data-driven transformation in modern organizations, a topic of growing relevance in recent years. The first part of the thesis is dedicated to establishing a theoretical framework, underlining the key concepts and highlighting the main factors to be considered in the analysis, relying on existing literature. The second part presents a qualitative examination based on interviews with managers at Michelin, a company I have become familiar with during my exchange period in Clermont-Ferrand. The goal of my investigation is to understand how this transformation process unfolded, and assess its impact on the organization’s structure and operations. Overall, I aim to examine how large enterprises manage their transition to a more data-centric approach to business, combining theory and first-hand managerial perspectives.

Abstract
This work investigates the phenomenon of data-driven transformation in modern organizations, a topic of growing relevance in recent years. The first part of the thesis is dedicated to establishing a theoretical framework, underlining the key concepts and highlighting the main factors to be considered in the analysis, relying on existing literature. The second part presents a qualitative examination based on interviews with managers at Michelin, a company I have become familiar with during my exchange period in Clermont-Ferrand. The goal of my investigation is to understand how this transformation process unfolded, and assess its impact on the organization’s structure and operations. Overall, I aim to examine how large enterprises manage their transition to a more data-centric approach to business, combining theory and first-hand managerial perspectives.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
