Identitá e rivoluzione in Nuestra America di José Martí

The history of South America and how it achieved emancipation, with a particular focus on Cuba. I will analyze José Martì's manifesto "Nuestra America" and the influence of Martì's thought on subsequent authors of the early twentieth century, leading up to Fidel Castro's 1959 revolution. A comparison between the latter and Martì, exploring why Cuba adopted the extreme communism we see nowadays and how the author's thought has been interpreted.

Storia del sud America e come si è arrivati all'emancipazione, in particolare di Cuba. Analizzo il manifesto di José Martì " Nuestra America " e l'influenza del pensiero martiano sui successivi autori del primo novecento fino ad arrivare alla rivoluzione del 1959 di Fidel Castro. Confronto tra quest'ultimo e Martì e il perchè Cuba abbia adottato il comunismo estremo che vediamo oggi e com'è stato interpretato il pensiero dell'autore.
