This thesis shows the design and implementation steps towards a multi-effect audio system, based on real time digital signal processing. The goal of this project is to realize a device capable of experimenting and integrating audio effects. The system has been developed on an embedded platform, adopting a modular architecture that allows for the creation and reuse of DSP blocks like delay lines, filters and modulators. Many effects were implemented, among which are chorus, vibrato, tremolo and bitcrusher. During the development process of each effect, special attention was paid to efficient resource management and system stability. In parallel to the audio processing aspect of the project, a state machine was built to handle the graphical interface and the user input. The functioning of every effect was valued, examining its performance, presence of noise and artifacts and its integration with the rest of the system. The obtained results satisfy the set goals and show a reliable operation, with low latency and good usability. The system is therefore suitable both for practical applications and as an experimental environment.

Abstract
The system is therefore suitable both for practical applications and as an experimental environment.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
