The project aims to realize a simple gesture-controlled effects chain that can be applied to any audio playing on the system. The project exploits the MediaPipe HandLandmarker task from Mediapipe library to detect hand gestures from a webcam feed and uses PortAudio, together with a loopback device, to intercept the system audio stream and apply a chain of effects in real time. The effects chain consists of a three-band equalizer, a Schroeder reverberator, a soft-clipping distortion, a basic voice removal function and a play/pause control.

Abstract
The project aims to realize a simple gesture-controlled effects chain that can be applied to any audio playing on the system. The project exploits the MediaPipe HandLandmarker task from Mediapipe library to detect hand gestures from a webcam feed and uses PortAudio, together with a loopback device, to intercept the system audio stream and apply a chain of effects in real time. The effects chain consists of a three-band equalizer, a Schroeder reverberator, a soft-clipping distortion, a basic voice removal function and a play/pause control.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
