Initially, the physical principles and methodology will be discussed, taking “Maxwell's Equations” and electromagnetic wave behavior as the starting point. After establishing the practical aspects and the concept of "inversion," the case study will be introduced: searching for cylindrical metal objects (analogous to “UXO—Unexploded Ordnance”) in the shallow subsurface of a dedicated test site. An overview of the instruments under examination—Explorer, Mini-Explorer, and Gem-2 (featuring multi-coil and multi-frequency capabilities)—will follow. Next, the results will be analyzed. The objective is to determine which intrinsic property of the target the technology is most sensitive to and to evaluate its efficiency, while also considering potential limitations. Finally, the quality—and thus the reliability—of the resulting inversion model will be assessed.

Abstract
Finally, the quality—and thus the reliability—of the resulting inversion model will be assessed.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
