This thesis paper presents the results and conclusions obtained during the internship at SG Lab Analytics, a laboratory located in the company Nuova Ompi s.r.l. and belonging to the Stevanato Group, a company that deals with the production of packaging for pharmaceutical use. The thesis work is part of the company's research activity aimed at the Performance Qualification of two Light Obscuration instruments, one of which was recently purchased by the company, with the aim of comparing the analytical characteristics of the two instruments for the analysis of particle counts in pharmaceutical formulations. The instruments object of this activity, in fact, are fundamental in the world of pharmaceutical industry as they allow to monitor the subvisible particulate present in formulations for pharmaceutical use. From this study we can conclude that the two instruments are equivalent as they provide comparable results.
