Nowadays, the manufacturing market demands the production of large-scale components with complex geometries in increasingly shorter lead times, while minimizing material waste. In this context, Additive Manufacturing is gaining growing significance, providing a wide range of solutions regarding both processes and materials. This thesis focuses on analyzing the production of Invar 36 components via Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM). Specifically, the essay first introduces the WAAM technology, detailing its working principles, process parameters, and industrial applications, before contextualizing its use for the Invar 36 alloy. A comprehensive analysis of the main process parameters is conducted, such as heat input, torch travel speed, wire feed rate, and shielding gas type, to evaluate their influence on the component's mechanical properties. Finally, an optimal process window is identified, which yields the best results for the target properties of the finished product, including hardness, yield and ultimate tensile strength, fracture strain, coefficient of thermal expansion, surface quality, porosity, and bead geometry.

A comprehensive analysis of the main process parameters is conducted, such as heat input, torch travel speed, wire feed rate, and shielding gas type, to evaluate their influence on the component's mechanical properties.
