In a world where the market imposes increasing global competitiveness, high production costs, and increasingly stringent quality and safety standards, companies are forced to modify and implement their production processes to meet the new demands of the industrial landscape. It is precisely for this reason that, nowadays, Artificial Intelligence plays an increasingly crucial role in optimizing production systems in companies. The aim of this report is therefore to analyze the various fields of AI use in production activities through the study of available scientific literature and case studies. The first chapter examines the topic from a more general perspective, delving into the most widespread uses of Artificial Intelligence in the industrial field. The second chapter analyses the reality of aeronautical companies. The latter in fact offer the opportunity to see how AI techniques can be applied all-round in the industrial context, leading to progress and refinements in the safety and maintenance of aeronautical structures. While it is true that the analysis attributes great improvements to Artificial Intelligence in companies' production and management processes, it is equally true that its use is still limited in many areas. The challenge of the future will certainly be to facilitate and incentivize the diffusion of these new Artificial Intelligence models throughout the industrial landscape, in order to increase not only production efficiency, but also the security of operators and customers.

Abstract
In a world where the market imposes increasing global competitiveness, high production costs, and increasingly stringent quality and safety standards, companies are forced to modify and implement their production processes to meet the new demands of the industrial landscape. It is precisely for this reason that, nowadays, Artificial Intelligence plays an increasingly crucial role in optimizing production systems in companies. These new technologies are often proposed to support tasks and functions previously performed manually by humans, with the aim of reducing production time and downtime, minimizing operating costs, and making solutions to instrumentation failures more efficient. The challenge of the future will certainly be to facilitate and incentivize the diffusion of these new Artificial Intelligence models throughout the industrial landscape, in order to increase not only production efficiency, but also the security of operators and customers.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
