This thesis analyzes body image in the sports context, exploring its pedagogical and social implications. Through a literature review, the paper examines the mechanisms of bodily objectification and the impact of coaches' sociocultural models and communication on athletes' well-being. Then, the research focuses on body perception and the risk of eating disorders in high-weight-control disciplines. Finally, we propose educational strategies and best practices aimed at promoting an inclusive sports environment, capable of enhancing the body not as a mere performance tool, but as an integrated dimension of a person's identity and well-being.
