This work describes the issues related to the construction of the vehicle, the serial communication between the microcontroller and its peripherals, and the implementation of algorithms aimed at developing an autonomous vehicle capable of following a track delimited by two black lines, detecting an obstacle, and stopping upon its detection. After presenting the competition rules, the adopted solutions for the mechanical design of the vehicle are illustrated, from the choice of materials to the study of the track illumination, as well as the criteria used for selecting the onboard components. The development environment, the initialization and configuration procedures of the peripherals, and finally the driving algorithms are also described, highlighting the design motivations and the implementation choices.

Abstract
This work describes the issues related to the construction of the vehicle, the serial communication between the microcontroller and its peripherals, and the implementation of algorithms aimed at developing an autonomous vehicle capable of following a track delimited by two black lines, detecting an obstacle, and stopping upon its detection. After presenting the competition rules, the adopted solutions for the mechanical design of the vehicle are illustrated, from the choice of materials to the study of the track illumination, as well as the criteria used for selecting the onboard components. The development environment, the initialization and configuration procedures of the peripherals, and finally the driving algorithms are also described, highlighting the design motivations and the implementation choices.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
