This thesis aims to analyse and design a support model for the management of Technology Transfer projects in the pharmaceutical industry, with specific reference to the Zambon S.p.A. case study. The topic arises from the need to manage Technology Transfer projects in a structured way, as they are characterised by a high degree of technical and regulatory complexity. The first part of the thesis introduces the reference context, analysing the main characteristics of the pharmaceutical industry, the role of Project Management, and the key principles underlying New Product Introduction and Technology Transfer projects. Subsequently, Zambon S.p.A. is presented, with particular attention to the Vicenza manufacturing plant and to the company’s role as a CDMO, providing services that cover different stages of the product life cycle, from development to commercial manufacturing. The central part of the thesis is dedicated to the analysis of the Technology Transfer process and to the development of an operational tool aimed at supporting its planning, monitoring, and control. The model developed makes it possible to organise project activities, identify the functions involved, define the main responsibilities, and monitor the progress of the different project phases. The outcome of the work consists in the design of a model applicable to the management of Technology Transfer projects, intended to increase the level of standardisation and structuring of the process and to facilitate coordination among the company functions involved. Therefore, the main contribution of the thesis lies in the formalisation of a more organised, coherent, and replicable managerial approach, capable of integrating technical, regulatory, and organisational requirements into a single reference model.
