La emigración italiana hacia Argentina: el caso concreto de Villa Bosch

The following dissertation is about the Italian migration to Argentina, with a deep analysis to the city of Villa Bosch. The first chapters focus on a more descriptive and theoretical part about the different Italian migratory waves that took place from the 19th century to the present day. The second part of my thesis is based on interviews with people who experienced in the first person, or through parents, the migratory process from Italy to the city of Villa Bosch, today called Little Italy due to the large presence of Italians. The purpose of the thesis is to analyze the city of Villa Bosch and see how Italian culture is still a founding and fundamental presence in the city, and more in general in the entire country of Argentina.

La siguiente tesis versa sobre la emigración italiana hacia Argentina, analizando el caso concreto de la ciudad de Villa Bosch. Los primeros capítulos tienen el enfoque en una parte más descriptiva y teórica sobre las diferentes olas migratorias italianas que tuvieron lugar desde el siglo XIX hasta los días de hoy. La segunda parte de mi tesis se funda en entrevistas de personas que experimentaron en primera persona, o a través de padres, el proceso migratorio desde Italia hacia la ciudad de Villa Bosch, llamada hoy en día pequeña Italia por la gran presencia de italianos. El fin de la tesis es el de analizar la ciudad de Villa Bosch y ver como la cultura italiana es todavía una presencia fundante y fundamental en la ciudad.
