The thesis describes the extension of the monokee-oauth2-provider module to introduce support for the OpenID for Verifiable Credential Issuance standard, with the goal of enabling Monokee to act as a Credential Issuer. The project is set within the context of Self-Sovereign Identity, a paradigm in which users gain greater control over their digital identity through wallets and verifiable credentials. The work includes the analysis of the OpenID4VCI standard, the design of credential issuance flows, the exposure of discovery metadata, and support for the SD-JWT format, which enables selective disclosure mechanisms. The implementation integrates with the existing OAuth2/OpenID Connect infrastructure, with particular attention to security, interoperability, and compatibility with modern digital wallets.

Abstract
The thesis describes the extension of the monokee-oauth2-provider module to introduce support for the OpenID for Verifiable Credential Issuance standard, with the goal of enabling Monokee to act as a Credential Issuer. The project is set within the context of Self-Sovereign Identity, a paradigm in which users gain greater control over their digital identity through wallets and verifiable credentials. The work includes the analysis of the OpenID4VCI standard, the design of credential issuance flows, the exposure of discovery metadata, and support for the SD-JWT format, which enables selective disclosure mechanisms. The implementation integrates with the existing OAuth2/OpenID Connect infrastructure, with particular attention to security, interoperability, and compatibility with modern digital wallets.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
