This thesis presents the design and development of a conversational storefront prototype, built during an internship at Halue S.r.l. Società Benefit. The goal of the project is to create a system capabe lof conducting natural language conversations with users of a Shopify e-commerce store, dynamically generating the graphical interface in response to their requests by reusing UI components from the brand's existing design system. The project begins with an initial phase of research and comparative analysis of available technologies, which informed the architectural decisions made in subsequent stages. The system focuses on two core functionalities: the dynamic generation of content, not limited to simple product widgets but extended to editorial content as well, and the ability to add products to the cart directly from the conversational interface. A central challenge of the project is finding a reliable approach to reusing the brand's design system components within the conversational interface, regardless of the storefront technology adopted by the individual store. This aspect represents one of the most significant contributions of the work, aiming to ensure visual consistency and integrability across heterogeneous technological contexts. The expected outcome is a proof of concept solid enough to validate the proposed technical approach and architectural choices, and to serve as a concrete foundation for future development.
