This thesis analyzes the integration of artificial intelligence modules into ERP systems, with particular reference to the ThinkAI case within the Target Cross suite. After introducing the role of ERP systems as integrated information infrastructures supporting business processes, the work examines the evolution of artificial intelligence, focusing on machine learning, generative artificial intelligence, Large Language Models, and natural language-based interfaces. The thesis explores the main opportunities offered by AI in business contexts, including the automation of operational activities, support for data analysis, document management, access to internal knowledge, and the improvement of the interaction between users and information systems. Alongside these benefits, the main critical issues are also considered, such as hallucinations, bias, security, privacy, output reliability, the need for human oversight, and the organizational conditions required for adoption. The ThinkAI case is analyzed as an example of an AI module integrated into an ERP environment, capable of interacting with business data, documents, and processes. The aim is to understand how generative artificial intelligence can extend the functionalities of traditional management systems, enabling more flexible access to information and new forms of operational and decision-making support.

Abstract
The aim is to understand how generative artificial intelligence can extend the functionalities of traditional management systems, enabling more flexible access to information and new forms of operational and decision-making support.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
