The period of contemporary childhood appears to be marked by a growing fragility among students, threatened by a process of premature adultization fueled by the use of technologies and the emotional aftermath of the "emotional lockdown" stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic. In this scenario, this thesis aims to demonstrate the effectiveness of clown therapy not only as a tool within the hospital environment, but as a valuable pedagogical resource capable of promoting inclusion and solidarity within the school context. The work unfolds starting from an analysis of the socio-emotional characteristics that define children in today's primary school, to then delve into the historical evolution of the figure of the clown, from its origins up to the appearance of the first clown doctors in hospitals. The experimental part of the thesis describes an action-research conducted during the 2025/2026 school year at a primary school in Albignasego (PD). The project involved two class groups (third and fourth grade) and was preceded by a preliminary interview with the teachers to outline the specific characteristics of each class. Adopting a mixed-method approach (qualitative and quantitative), the research had direct field observation and the administration of structured questionnaires to teachers and students as its pillars. In collaboration with the association VIP Padova ODV, five sequential interventions were designed and implemented, focusing on knowledge, trust, listening, encouragement, and acceptance of diversity.

Abstract
In collaboration with the association VIP Padova ODV, five sequential interventions were designed and implemented, focusing on knowledge, trust, listening, encouragement, and acceptance of diversity.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
