This thesis proposes a continuous improvement framework for restoring a Mixed-Model Flow Line in a manufacturing environment characterized by high variability. The study addresses the case of an assembly line that, over time, regressed from a flow-line configuration to a fixed-station production system, and identifies a methodological roadmap for returning it to a stable and efficient operating mode. The analysis was carried out through direct observation of the production process, examination of key performance indicators (KPIs), application of Lean problem-solving tools, and discussions with shop-floor operators. The main critical issues identified include instability in material supply, misalignment of cycle times, and limited process standardization. Based on the findings, a roadmap was developed to identify the prerequisites required for restoring the Mixed-Model Flow Line. The thesis further investigates and validates the initial phase of this roadmap, aimed at stabilizing operating conditions through improvements in material supply, production efficiency, and process standardization.

Abstract
The thesis further investigates and validates the initial phase of this roadmap, aimed at stabilizing operating conditions through improvements in material supply, production efficiency, and process standardization.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
