In the present work a study is made of the influence of the stress ratio (R) on the multiaxial fatigue behavior of composite materials. Experimental data for R = 0, 0.5, -1 and different multixial loading conditions are presented. Abstract

In the present work a study is made of the influence of the stress ratio (R) on the multiaxial fatigue behavior of composite materials. Experimental data for R = 0, 0.5, -1 and different multixial loading conditions are presented. Several fatigue life-predicting models found in literature are validated and compared, and some modifications of such models are suggested. A new model, that leads to the best agreement with the experimental data, is proposed
