Abstract
I present a code for generating stable n-body models of elliptical galaxies that follow the Sérsic law, with a dark matter halo. I then use this code to simulate the growth of compact elliptical galaxies from z~2 to z=0 through dry mergers, showing that this process can generate the elliptical galaxies we observe in the local universe, and studying how different Sérsic indices influence this process.File in questo prodotto:
