Pyrolysis of Peat: an Experimental Investigation

The objective is to explore the operating conditions (temperature and residence time) in the pyrolysis of peat so as to obtain solid products (char) suitable for industrial utilisation. Results show that the yield of char diminishes when the temperature increases or when a higher reactor residence time is adopted.
