The left-lateral Doruneh Fault System is one of the major transcurrent fault in central Asia, extending ≈900 km from western Afghanistan into West-Central Iran. During its history this fault has changed sense of slip and kinematic: (1) Early Eocene to Late Miocene right-lateral movement (55,8-5,33 Ma), (2) Late Miocene to Early Pleistocene reversal interval (5,33-1,8 Ma), and (3) post-Early Pleistocene left-lateral motion (1,8-0 Ma; Javadi et al. 2013) . In this study the (U-Th)/He method on apatites has been applied. Samples from the Kashmar granitoids outcrop were crushed and treated to extract crystals suitable for the analysis. The obtained ages demonstrate that the northern block rapidly exhumed between 4 and 2 Ma, confirming what was suggested in previous studies (Javadi et al. 2013). Reconstruction of the thermal history of the Kashmar batholith , allowed to define in more detail timing of the inverse kinematics event.
