This thesis deals with rain data collection in the period between June and September 2017 in the debris flow site of Acquabona creek (Cortina d'Ampezzo, BL). These rain data have been analysed and compared with rain data collected during previous years, in the 2015 and 2016. The rains related to 2015 and 2016 have been compared with the rain data collected in three ARPAV stations located near Acquabona site (Cortina, Faloria and Borca) in order to evaluate their relationship and representativeness during debris flow. Acquabona creek has been studied since 1997 and the instrumentation has been improved over the years. The instruments used during 2017 are three tipping rain gauges placed at different elevations and a downstream station equipped with a video-camera and a nocturnal illumination system. The rain data obtained during 2017 in the Acquabona site have been studied analysing the rainfall, the cumulative rainfall and the degree of correlation between the data collected with the three tipping rain gauges. Analysis show some important rain events that have been compared with the pictures taken from the video-camera. This comparison has been useful to check on what happened in the channel during these events. The rain data of 2017 have been compared in the same way with the data of 2015 and 2016 collected in the Acquabona creek and with the data of ARPAV stations nearby the site
