The purpose of this work is the characterization of the APIX detector for charged particles. The DCR has been measured as function of the over-voltage, wich allowed also the measurement of the breakdown voltage. The Detection Efficiency was also measured both with photons (by 1/r2 method exploting un-shielded cells) and with low energy electrons (from a 90Sr source). In the latter case we validated the experimental results with a full MonteCarlo simulation.
