Abstract

Starting from the Fourier’s transform, an alternative is found in the Wavelet Transform. Exploiting the Multi-Resolution in time and frequency a view of the spectrum along time is achieved. An energy map is then created and used as a set of features to be recognized by an algorithm of classification. A proper experimental setup is build in order to create an automatic fault recognition firmware on the MCU of the motherboards of inverter refrigerators.
