In this thesis, the effects on aerodynamic performance of Vortex Generators (VGs) placed on a wind turbine's blade sections are investigated, using the SU2’s CFD tools for solving PDEs. The capabilities of the SU2 incompressible solver in resolving 4 different VGs’ flow configurations, placed on 2 reconstructed blade sections, are explored. The configurations investigated are related to VGs of 2 different heights and at 2 streamwise locations, as well as the configuration without VGs.
