Abstract

The abatement of methanol (VOC) is studied by means of photocatalysis. Methanol contributes to indoor air pollution in confined environments. The abatement is performed in a new membrane photoreactor equipped with UV lamps. The membranes are formed by nanofibers produced via electrospinning, while catalyst are produced with innovative synthetic routes. The performance of different catalysts under UV-C irradiation are compared, leading to similar performances of the benchmark titanium dioxide.
