Throughout the history of art, the four parts of the day, namely Sunrise, Noon, Sunset and Night, appear in the various works of art, from ceramics to frescoes, from sculptures to architecture. Different meanings are attributed to them depending on the period and historical context that produces them, and consequently their representation takes on innumerable forms.
Nel corso della storia dell'arte le quattro parti del giorno, ossia Alba, Mezzogiorno, Tramonto e Notte, compaiono nelle varie opere d'arte, dalle ceramiche agli affreschi, dalle sculture alle architetture. Ad esse sono attribuiti diversi significati a seconda del contesto e periodo storico che le produce, e di conseguenza la loro rappresentazione assume innumerevoli forme.
