La Libia dall'alba del regime di Gheddafi fino alla sua caduta

The thesis aims to analyze the situation in Libya since the beginning of Gaddafi's dictatorship, highlighting the relations that the Arab country, since 1969, had with the West and the reactions of the latter to the dictator's policies. Finally there is an analysis of what led to the fall of Gaddafi and how Libya tried to overcome the period of the regime, trying to become a democratic country through the elections. The thesis chronologically traces the points considered most incisive in the history of international relations since 1969 to 2011 and which have had repercussions for a long time all over the world.

La tesi si propone di analizzare la situazione della Libia dall'inizio della dittatura di Gheddafi, mettendo in risalto le relazioni che il paese arabo, dal 1969, intrattenne con l'Occidente e le reazioni di quest'ultimo alle politiche del dittatore. Infine vi è un'analisi di ciò che ha portato alla caduta di Gheddafi e a come la Libia abbia cercato di superare il periodo del regime, provando a diventare un paese democratico attraverso le elezioni. La tesi ripercorre cronologicamente i punti considerati più incisivi nelle storia delle relazioni internazionali dal 1969 al 2011 e che hanno avuto ripercussioni per molto tempo in tutto il mondo.
