Translation has been theorized throughout the centuries undertaking different approaches. The first chapter of this dissertation focuses on the approaches born from the cultural turn in translations studies, with particular regard to feminist translation and inclusive language. The second chapter contains the translation of the report extract “Academic Freedom Repression Under China’s Central Government” written by the Scholars At Risk international network, which provides assistance to threatened scholars all around the world. In the third chapter an analysis of the translation and the methodology used in the translation process is provided.
