The research stems from the desire to analyze the path of the "science" school discipline within primary school from the early twentieth century to the present day. The survey focuses on the in-depth study of changes in methodologies, teaching, teacher education and the evolution of the contents of the scientific discipline from a legislative, social and educational point of view. In addition to a theoretical framework full of normative references and of the great authors of the twentieth century and contemporaries, there is also a more concrete and practical apparatus on doing science at school today, with a view to designing for skills and the development of the educational avant-gardes, for a laboratory science teaching and based on the curiosity our students feed on.
La ricerca nasce dal desiderio di analizzare il percorso della disciplina scolastica “scienze” all’interno della scuola primaria dai primi anni del Novecento fino ai giorni nostri. L’indagine si concentra sull’approfondimento dei cambiamenti nelle metodologie, nella didattica, nella formazione degli insegnanti e nell’evoluzione dei contenuti della disciplina scientifica dal punto di vista legislativo, sociale e scolastico. Oltre alla cornice teorica ricca di riferimenti normativi e dei grandi autori del Novecento e contemporanei, si innesta anche un apparato più concreto e pratico sul fare scienze a scuola oggi, nell’ottica del progettare per competenze e dello sviluppo delle avanguardie educative, per un insegnamento delle scienze laboratoriale e fondato sulla curiosità di cui i nostri alunni si nutrono.
