The aim of the paper is to investigate perceptions of social, environmental and economic sustainability and hopes for the future of work in a group of workers. The idea was born from the desire to give voice, more and more, to the people who live the company every day to integrate what is the sustainability report that De'Longhi Group publishes every year. The collected data have both qualitative and quantitative origin, in fact, the participants of the research were offered a series of questionnaires elaborated together with the researchers of the laboratory Laboratorio La.R.I.O.S., that deals with professional design and career orientation, and an interview that investigates issues such as talent, meritocracy and corporate sustainability at three hundred and sixty degrees. The path of reflection, proposed through questionnaires and interviews, will focus on the contributions that people can make to build environments, work and not, that are more sustainable and inclusive. The ultimate goal is to find out whether, in the perceptions of social sustainability, in the hopes related to the future and in the idea of the economy of the future there are therefore differences between the managerial class and that of employees who do not manage teams. In addition, the question has been raised as to whether the perception of HRM practices related to social sustainability preaches levels of personal and social satisfaction.
