Food fake news can have a big impact on companies and consumers, generating misunderstandings between the two parties, fears and insecurities on the part of consumers and significant economic and image damage for companies. The purpose of this thesis is to explain the mechanism of their spread, in particular bringing as an example the Covid-19 period, to shed light on the effects they can cause and to illustrate some ways to recognize them and prevent their propagation.
Le fake news alimentari possono avere un un grande impatto su aziende e consumatori portando ad incomprensioni tra le due parti, paure e insicurezze da parte dei consumatori e gravi danni economici e di immagine delle aziende. L'obiettivo di questa tesi è di spiegare il meccanismo della loro diffusione, in particolare portando come esempio il periodo del Covid-19, di far luce sugli effetti che possono provocare e di illustrare alcuni mezzi con cui poterle riconoscere e prevenirne la propagazione.
