Tecniche di gestione della processionaria del pino in ambiente urbano

The thesis deals with the management of the pine processionary in urban habitat through the use of various techniques, which can be use synergycally to control the pest. The results of a test carried out in the field is then illustrated. a chemical masking of the trees as been attemped through the use of natural compounds deterring the ovipositing moths.

La tesi tratta su come si possa gestire e limitare la presenza di processionaria all'interno di un ambiente urbano, attraverso l'utilizzo di varie tecniche differenti tra loro, che, se attuate in sinergia, possono dare un risultato positivo. Viene illustrato l'esito di una prova sperimentale effettuata in campo volta a valutare un metodo di mascheramento chimico degli alberi con sostanze di origine naturali nei confronti delle farfalle al momento dell' ovideposizione.
