The purpose of the present project is to analyze and evaluate the employment of additive techniques, and in particular of the fused deposition modeling (FDM), in the manufacturing of bimetallic components. Specifically, the objective is to study the structure and composition of bimetallic components obtained via fused deposition modeling from a specific kind of filament, consisting of a metallic powder binded by a polymeric matrix. The manufacturing process, once the specimen is printed, provides for debinding and sintering. Once the process is over, the specimen undergo a series of metallographic analyses to evaluate their structure and composition.

Abstract
The purpose of the present project is to analyze and evaluate the employment of additive techniques, and in particular of the fused deposition modeling (FDM), in the manufacturing of bimetallic components. Specifically, the objective is to study the structure and composition of bimetallic components obtained via fused deposition modeling from a specific kind of filament, consisting of a metallic powder binded by a polymeric matrix. The manufacturing process, once the specimen is printed, provides for debinding and sintering. Once the process is over, the specimen undergo a series of metallographic analyses to evaluate their structure and composition.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
