This study presents a comprehensive inventory of the inner and irregular satellites in the Jovian system. The satellites are categorised according to the orbital parameters such as samimajor axis, orbital inclination and eccentricity, and physical characteristics such as density, visual geometric albedo and the discrete compositional characteristics and details about the presence or absence of various chemical elements, also through new methods applied to astrophysics. Theories of formation of the Jovian satellites are discussed. Further investigations are suggested to better understand the relationships among these groups.

Abstract
This study presents a comprehensive inventory of the inner and irregular satellites in the Jovian system. The satellites are categorised according to the orbital parameters such as samimajor axis, orbital inclination and eccentricity, and physical characteristics such as density, visual geometric albedo and the discrete compositional characteristics and details about the presence or absence of various chemical elements, also through new methods applied to astrophysics. Theories of formation of the Jovian satellites are discussed. Further investigations are suggested to better understand the relationships among these groups.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
